Flooring & interior finishes

New floors, repaired walls or the trim that finishes a room. We can discuss one area or coordinate several interior changes within the same scope.

Scope

Bring the rooms together.

  • Flooring installation and agreed removal or preparation
  • Drywall repairs, painting and finishing
  • Baseboards, casing, interior doors and trim
  • Built-ins and interior finish carpentry

We confirm the included work, exclusions, supply arrangements and proposed schedule in writing.

Look at the joins, not just the sample.

Floor heights, thresholds, doors and baseboards all affect the result. Let us know which rooms connect and whether new flooring will meet an existing surface. For condo flooring, ask management about acoustic and material requirements before ordering.

What affects the price?

  • Floor area, substrate condition and preparation needed
  • Material type, room transitions and stair details
  • Furniture moving, access and disposal of old materials
  • Whether walls, trim or doors need related work

A call or photos can start the estimate. Work that depends on measurements or concealed conditions may need a site visit.

Planning the work locally

Homes and condos across the GTA need different delivery and protection plans. Toronto and North York are examples of communities where building access can shape the work. Confirm where materials can be stored, whether the rooms will be occupied and what areas need to stay accessible.

Questions about this work

Can you handle a single room or repair?

We can discuss smaller flooring and finish jobs as well as connected rooms. Send a short description of the work and the approximate area.

Is removal included?

Only when it is included in the written scope. Removal, substrate repairs, disposal and furniture handling should be agreed before the work starts.

Should I buy flooring first?

It helps to review the intended product, room measurements, substrate and building requirements before placing the order. Confirm who is supplying materials and allowances for waste.
